The
Teddy Bear Conspiracies

Pop culture historically portrays aliens as roughly
human-sized. Some have funny foreheads. Most speak English.
But aliens who look like teddy bears? Can that
possibly work?
If The Teddy Bear Conspiracies is any indication,
yes, it can. It can work brilliantly.
The Teddy Bear Conspiracies tells the story of
a mild-mannered reporter, who stumbles on an alien invasion, involving
the sinister Arjogun, your basic "Grey" aliens. The heroic aliens
from Orisha are all who stand in their way.
And the Orishans look like teddy bears. And chocolate
gives them super-human powers.
Child-friendly, but not childish, The Teddy Bear
Conspiracies covers a number of genres, and provides everything for everybody.
There's swashbuckling action, with a healthy dose of conspiracy theory.
There's peril. There's humor. There's enough adventure to satisfy even
the most intense comics reader.
Each page is infused with a mix of writing styles--given
the Feinman's background, use of newspaper style helps break things up,
and provides just enough exposition to keep the plot moving--and sly humor--things
such as a wrist unit called "H.A.R.V.E.Y." that looks like a
rabbit, and makes the user invisible. Nice touch.
The Teddy Bear Conspiracies is fast-paced enough
to hold the attention of even the shortest attention spans. A working
knowledge of Chicago-area locations is a plus, but not necessary.
If The Teddy Bear Conspiracies is any indication,
pop culture needs to make room for some new aliens: ones who look like
teddy bears.
