Myke is a fan of Science Fiction and fantasy in all its forms. His love affair with comics came from his youth. When he was younger, Myke had a difficult time reading. He bought a comic book with his lunch money, a novelization of a Jack London's "Call of the Wild", and soon discovered he was a visual learner. He passed his love for comics on to his son, Anthony.

Some of his favorite and main influences for his art style stem from cartoon illustrators E.C. Segar (creator of Popeye), Bud Sagendorf, and Sergio Aragones.
One of his favorite literary characters is the old pulp hero, Doc Savage, created by Lester Dent.

Myke and his wife, Cathy, currently reside in Streator, IL where they share their house with a "hug" of bears, unicorns and critters. It seems someone or something put out the word that their home is a safe haven for aliens. (Ooops! I wrote too much!)
